After an incredibly long year....I am back and my store is re-opened!!!  WooHoo.  Looking forward to making some beautiful pieces.

My Family update:

(1) My husband motorcycle accident injuries have healed...he had a plate and seven screws put in his leg and he has recovered and doing well.  He walks with a slight limp...but he is alive and that is all that matters.

(2) My brother healed from his heart attack, went through cardiac rehab and found out the cause of his sudden heart attack was that genetically he has a very low HDL (good cholesterol).  I have found out that I suffer from this as well.  We have both made a lot of changes in our lives to keep us as healthy as possible.

(3) My son Ryan (12) broke his finger earlier in the year and then fractured his L5 disc in his spine (he is a catcher and gets bumped a lot).  He has recovered well and was invited to play baseball for a week this August in Cooperstown at the Field of Dreams.  He will be inducted into the Youth Hall of Fame there....how cool is that??  SO proud of him!!

(4)  My mother recently had kidney stone surgery and is on the mend.  She is a trooper and after having breast cancer (almost 5 years since her cancer removal!!) nothing can stop her.  She is my inspiration :)

(5) While I was running around taking care of everyone, I started noticing a lot of strange things happening to me and I kept blowing off the symptoms thinking it was the start of  "pre-menopause".  Unfortunately it was not that.  I went to the doctor for a sore throat and came out with Type 2 diabetes, a mass in my thyroid (and it was not working properly) and generically low HDL.  Wow...really? 

So what did I do...I got healthy!  I have lost 32 pounds, changed the way I eat, started exercising, had the majority of my thyroid removed and take a ridiculous amount of medicine daily.  I feel better than I have in years and spend more time with my boys.  I have realized over the last year that family is everything, because you never know when your life is going to take a strange turn.....

Anyway...I am back to making jewelry.  Thank you to everyone that have sent emails and messages with kind and supportive words during this trying time in my life.  They have meant the word to me.  I am slowing dipping my feet back into making jewelry again and am looking forward to it.

I have a few new products that I will be debuting soon. One is an oval glass bracelet with a chain bracelet (which comes in silver or antique brass). Second is a necklace that has two or three gradient size pieces hung together (think past, present and future type necklace) and lastly is a charm that can hang from any charm bracelet that you may already own, it clips onto an existing bracelet. I am also working on getting some new findings and products in. 

Looking forward to catching up with all that I missed out on and making some exciting and fun jewelry!!

Unfortunately I am dealing with some personal family issues and my store will not be opening until they are resolved.

To name two issues, (1) my husband was in a motorcycle crash and has had surgery to put his leg back together. (2) my perfectly healthy 41 year old brother has had a heart attack and is recovering.

Right now, 100% of my focus is with my family and dealing with these and other issues that have happened. I am sorry if I am not returning messages but I just can't right now.

Fingerpaints Special Effects Polish

Oh my...this line is perfect for me because I love a great flakie polish and this collection includes FIVE of them.  I was able to pick up all five of the polishes at my local Sally's.  I have read around the internet that this polish line is hard to find or has been sold out in alot of places.  Glad I went when I did!!

I am a terrible blogger and have not posted in forever!  that is why I leave the blogging to you ladies and I just design jewelry instead.

I do have a few updates...so here it goes:

(1) My jewelry was worn by the gorgeous Katie Cazorla of the "Painted Nail" (and the great tv show the "Nail Files") to the Video Music Awards!  I still can not believe that three pieces of my jewelry (necklace, ring and bracelet) walked down the red carpet!  Big, huge, giant thank you to Katie for trusting me to design here some fabulous jewelry!

OMG...Katie from the Painted Nail loves my nail polish jewelry!

While I was sitting at home reading everything I could about CosmoProf and tweeting with a few of the bloggers that were there experiencing it all (while being jealous and kicking myself for not going!)...I saw a tweet from Melissa @dailynail that she had just met Katie from @thepaintednail.  I responded that I loved Katie's show "The Nail Files" and her nail polishes looked fabulous and then the most amazing thing happened to me!


I started to receive some really fun tweets from Krystal at @Polish_Galore.   She was telling me that Katie Cazorla from the Painted Nail loved my jewelry.  They all all had dinner with Katie later that night and look what they sent me:

Yes...that is Katie (from the Nail Files) holding a keychain I made for Jen from @thepolishaholic.  Isn't Katie a knockout?   (I am already planning some amazing designs using The Painted Nail polish (Katie's own line of nail polish) that I am buying this week.)

The next day Katie was wonderful enough to this tweet and I almost feel off my chair!  Made my whole day (thank you Katie!)

Taking a Vacation!

I have decided to shut my Etsy store down for the month of July!!!!  WooHoo

My 10 year old son Ryan has made the All Start team for baseball (so proud of you baby!!) and we have a very busy schedule with baseball.

I am excited to spend some quality time with my boys and hubby :0) I have not really taken any time off since I started my nail polish jewelry line. We are going to be taking a week off all together and going to Six Flags, Boston Museum of Science, Block Island, etc...

Taking last minute orders until the 29th and then I am off until August!  All of my pending orders should be shipped out by the end of the week :0)

New web show about a doctor who is obsessed with her nails!!! Well what a great opportunity for me to showcase my nail polish jewelry!  I am really looking forward to this collaboration and the star of the show wearing my jewelry!!
